Questions sur les bagages pendant votre voyage

Transfers

If your journey requires you to make a connection, your luggage will usually be checked to your final destination. In some instances you may be required to identify or claim your luggage for security or local customs reasons. Our staff will advise you of these circumstances, however you may contact your local oneworld® member airline's office prior to your departure to check these procedures.

.

Transfer Baggage, 12 Hours Plus

Customers should be aware that when a transfer to another oneworld service is required which is in excess of 12 hours, luggage may have to be collected on arrival and re-checked with the outbound carrier, due to local customs or security regulations.

For a transfer to the next oneworld service, which is over 12 hours, storage arranged should be discussed with a oneworld member airline before travelling.

.

Damage or Delay

When claiming your luggage at your destination, please make sure you have collected your own, as many suitcases look the same. We recommend that you check the name on the luggage tag and compare it to your receipt.

Should you find that your luggage is damaged, has not arrived, or you have any other concerns, please contact a staff member from any oneworld member airline immediately. Details of your luggage will be taken and you will be offered immediate assistance. If your luggage has been delayed, arrangements will be made to have it delivered to your local address when it arrives (this service is not available in some countries due to local government authority restrictions). Arrangements will also be made to assist you should items of luggage arrive damaged.

In both situations, of either damaged or delayed luggage, liability could be reduced if luggage was presented for check-in unsuitably packed or after the recommended check-in time.

.

Mishandled Baggage

Customers travelling on a oneworld itinerary, whose luggage may be delayed or damaged, are invited to advise a baggage services representative of any oneworld member airline immediately.  A mishandled baggage file will be opened and may subsequently be updated by an airport representative of any oneworld member airline worldwide.

Claims for mishandled baggage may be made in writing to any oneworld member airline within the statutory period (seven days from the date of receipt of the damaged baggage and 21 days from the date the delayed baggage was made available).
